45c434b5ed Adjust DPI factor for PNG output 
This is just a temporary workaround.
In a future version, a corresponding DPI adjustment should be
implemented in GR.

Treat types without length as single element 
Fixes #2350
Workaround for types like Dates.Date which can be used for coordinates
but doesn't have Base.length defined.
